MICHAELA EICHER

Between chaos and order: the color symphonies of the four elements

In my artistic work, I delve deep into the complexity of human existence, exploring the tensions and harmonies that shape our individual and collective experiences.
I am fascinated by the dynamics of societal norms and social structures that surround and shape us. Through my art, I strive to break down the dichotomy between what is considered desirable and what is outside of these norms. My canvas becomes a playing field where chance and intention, structure and chaos combine to create a dialog.
I see nature and its four elements as a metaphor for human coexistence - fiery passion, earthy constancy, the fluid adaptability of water and the freedom of wind. These elements, although fundamentally different in their characteristics, create a balance that makes life possible. In this way, my art reflects the diversity within society and the individual characters that shape it. Each element, each person contributes in a unique way to the greater whole.
My paintings are an invitation to embrace the diversity of life and to realize that contrasts do not have to lead to separation, but can bring forth a richer, deeper beauty. I want to show that there is a hidden power in diversity that drives us forward and enriches us. My goal is to create a space through my art where viewers have the opportunity to reflect and celebrate their own individuality, free from the shackles of societal expectations.
Together we can discover the beauty in diversity and use the energy of our differences as a source of new inspiration and creativity. In this spirit of openness and sharing, I invite you to join me in immersing yourself in the world of my art, where each work is a testament to the infinite variations of being, and together redefine the possibilities of our existence.
Nature in view, resin in hand: the path to a unique artistic creation

Michaela Eicher, born in 1992 and raised in idyllic Switzerland, found her inspiration early on in the untouched nature of her homeland. Surrounded by meadows and forests, she developed a deep connection to the environment that still shapes her artistic vision today. She spent her childhood, characterized by a strong imagination, observing clouds and discovering crystalline rocks during numerous hikes with her family.
She never lost her fascination for the dynamics of nature and the play of the elements. With her professional path in the social sector, Michaela delved deeper into the human psyche and dealt intensively with group dynamics, resilience and the influence of social norms and values.
The work, which required a deep systemic understanding, led Michaela back to her original passion for art. The discovery of resin in 2017 opened new horizons for her to capture depth, unpredictability and the complex beauty of nature that fascinated her since childhood.
Michaela taught herself the basics of working with resin, following an inner image that wanted to express the complex harmony of life. Her love of experimentation, combined with an intuitive grasp, led to a unique repertoire of art techniques. Her works are a play between chance and control, created through the use of unusual materials, 3D printing and modeling techniques. The self-mixed color gradations and the abstract natural landscapes depicted from a bird's eye view invite the viewer to immerse themselves in the diversity and beauty of her artistic universe.
Michaela's increasing popularity and international recognition are reflected in her placing as a finalist in an international art competition - a clear sign of her establishing presence on the art scene. Today, Michaela Eicher lives and works in Kriens near Lucerne, where she is constantly working to realize her vision of a harmony between man and nature mediated by art.
